About Me
Hi, I'm Nick. I'm an accredited psychotherapist, and I've been working with people for over ten years to help them get unstuck and feel more like themselves. I truly enjoy this work and I believe the best outcomes start with simple, genuine conversations.
I hold a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Adelaide, and I'm a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
How We'll Work Together
When we work together, you can expect an atmosphere guided by a few core principles:
Non-judgement: This is a safe space for anything you want to discuss.
Curiosity: We'll explore the 'why' and 'how' of your situation, not just the symptoms.
Authenticity: I'll show up as a real person, not just a textbook.
Compassion: We’ll meet your challenges with kindness and understanding.
I've worked with many people facing common life challenges—things like navigating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or managing anger and addictions. I also spent several years specialising in helping children and young people.
My Toolkit
I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I tailor our sessions using effective, practical methods, including:
Person-Centred Counselling: Focusing on your strengths and goals.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Learning to manage tough thoughts and feelings, and focus on what truly matters to you.
Internal Family Systems (IFS): Understanding and working with your inner parts
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-focused therapy and Emotion-focused therapy.
If you're ready to make a positive shift in your life, I look forward to chatting.
